So here's the deal on Fettucini di Bengodi a la Ostgardr:
One of the stories in Boccacio's Decameron (Day 8, Story 3) mentions in passing an Italian village called Bengodi. It sits at the foot of a hill of grated Parmesan cheese. At the top of the hill are a group of chefs. They cook noodles in capon broth, and when they are finished, they toss them down the hillside (gathering cheese as they go) and are eaten by the villagers.
So the recipe will be something like:
Cook fettucini in seasoned chicken broth.
Toss with melted butter and grated Parmesan cheese.
And serve it forth.
