The Seahorse Ball

Crown Province of Østgarðr

(Brooklyn, NY)

January 17, 1998

News flash:

as of December 12, this event is cancelled due to site problems. But here's what we had planned...

The Viceroy, Vicereine, and the populace of the Crown Province of Østgarðr invite the people of the East Kingdom to join with them for an afternoon of dance instruction and an evening of dancing. This is the first (hopefully annual) Seahorse Ball; it will consist of dance instruction (and bardic trials) in the afternoon followed by a potluck "dessert revel" and dance. There will be no feast, but there will be time for gentles to find sustenance in the local area, and the numerous esteemed (and not-so-esteemed) cooks of Østgarðr are invited to demonstrate their skills by contributing to the potluck, which may include both sweet and savory dishes.

The proposed site will be at Fort Hamilton, underneath the Verrazano Narrows Bridge in Brooklyn, NY. The fort has plenty of parking and much public transportation. Once the actual site is confirmed, we will publish directions and a site fee.

Any questions should be directed to Vicomte Cai de Lyon.
