A Call for Arms (and Names)

If anyone reading this missive is now or ever has been a resident of the Crown Province of Øtgarðr, or any of the Cantons thereof (listed below) or of the predecessor group to Østgarðr ("The Nameless Province"), or knows of someone not able to read this missive who was a resident thereof, please send me the following:

The name used at the time of Province/Canton residency
The arms used at the time of Province/Canton residency

There is no requirement that the name or arms have been registered, either at the time of residency or subsequent to departure; merely that they have been used.

If you know an accurate blazon of your arms, please send it; if not, do your best to accurately describe them in "normal" language, and I will translate (and, if you like, send back the translation).

The purpose of this data collection is that we shall have a roll of arms for the Province that is as complete as can be managed, and that we shall be able to provide heraldic decor for our events (in a manner that we hope shall not suggest the presence of the individuals whose arms are so depicted).

This missive has been posted to the Usenet newsgroup rec.org.sca, and to the SCA-EAST and OSTGARDR mailing lists. Readers are encouraged to post this to other regional/interest lists and print it in local and/or kingdom newsletters or other print publications aimed at members of our Society.
