April Commons Disclaimer: We were unable to attend the April Commons, so these notes were taken by Lady Andrea; I hope we've transcribed them correctly. Vicereine: Order of the Seadog ( service to the province through cantons), will begin at the next Agincourt. Exchequer: The province is solvent. There has been a recent outlay of funds for feast gear. The province has offered to pay for any Ostgardrian fighter who makes the champions list for the East Kingdom at Pennsic War. Northpass: Preparations for Barleycorn are underway. Lions End: recently sent out info packs to potential new sites. Cub Scout Demo on May 15th from 7:30-9 needs volunteers; please contact Lady Jesca. Broken Bridge: lots of new members, a dozen new fighters. Large brewing class May 8th for the Pennsic Warchest. They are planning a Picnic In The Park on May 31; please contact Ben. Mistress of the Lists: Tuesday night practices are beginning again. There is a new fighter authorization procedure; please contact Lady Suzanne. Viceroy and Vicereine: as of Curia, a Baronial vote of confidence is scheduled for January 1999. 2/3 of the populace will make the decision. All officers should contact their kingdom superiors to let them know how everything is doing. (Seneschal says: This includes cantons as well -- even non-required offices). Ostgardr will help the Kingdom make new fighters' tabards; please contact the Vicereine to volunteer. Huntington Renfaire will be held on Memorial day weekend. They are looking for volunteers to teach a c. 45-minute class for children; please contact the Viceroy to volunteer. Pennsic: Sir Edward is in charge of Ostgardr land allotment. There will be the usual $10 fee to cover wood, etc. Preregister under OSTGARDR. Seneschal: Officers' meeting June 14th at 3pm at Suzanne's. We'll discuss and vote on the officer openings, ratify our bylaws, and do anything else necessary. I am also proposing splitting the A&S position. Potential candidates should attend and expect an interview-like session before we vote. Candidates: Knight Marshall: Luigi Vasili, John the Bear; A&S: Brekke Franksdottir, Sean DeLondres, Anabel Guzman; Chatelaine: Aidan ni Leir, Brithwen Boreshulla; Historian: Richard the Poor.
