Jafar's funeral had over 500 people, 92 cars in the procession. Whyt Whey: Thanks to Ian for dishwashing. WW doing a lot of troll duty at Crown. Dance & Drum in Feb. will be 2/6, not 2/13. Vicereine: Kingdom regalia in bad shape; considering projects like tabards for champions at Pennsic. Watch for Continuing Ed. classes at local universities, e.g. basic sewing, cooking, history... Herald: Ostgardr put on a good display at 12th Night, but Kingdom banners didn't show up; make one for emergencies? Names & Blazons database lost; please give Jeff name, blazon, & when you started using them in Ostgardr. Need signatures (esp. Provincial & Canton officers) supporting Order of Sea Dog and its badge; will circulate forms. Seneschal: Cantons need larger cash reserves to handle site fees. This last meeting before retiring as Seneschal, but continuing as Deputy Seneschal for Calendar & might take A&S office. After handing over key 2/14, Sean will disappear for a month to plan wedding; no calls, please. Bidding to run Pennsic XXIX in 2000. Northpass: won Moveable Feast award at Twelfth Night for spiffy table setting. Broken Bridge: Fighter practice going at Jr. high school, which could be used for events too. School specifically wants dance demo. Newsletter didn't appear for a month, but it's back now; reprinting some articles from Regia Anglorum in England (which has a terrific Web site!) Brought half a dozen energetic newcomers to Twelfth Night. Valentine's: in Lions End 2/14, will include contest for Provincial Bard. Tired Tyger Tavern: in Northpass 2/28, w/barroom brawl; making barroom sorts of weapons from open-cell foam. Prep meetings 2/7, 2/21. Celtic Silliness: 3/21 in Lions End, same day as A&S Triathlon in Rusted Woodlands. Aidan cooking; $10/person. Crown Tourney: 5/2 in Northpass. Site has sleeping space for 19, showers, children's room. We expect c. 20 schoolchildren watching, w/parents; we may try to clothe them. There may be a tablefull of Episcopal nuns at feast. Gilded Pearl: unable to hold event in Lions End due to site cost & financial concerns; An Dubh is interested in sponsoring G.P. event.
