Highlights from the May 10 Commons
Ostgardr plans to host EKU at Queens County Farm in "late winter or early spring."  Mistress Katherine would like it to have a medieval (as opposed to Renaissance) focus.  If you have a suitable class you'd like to give, contact the Vicereine.
Ostgardr will also host a Barons' Dinner, Wednesday night at Pennsic (opposite Midrealm court).  We need volunteers to serve, greet, set up, clean up, etc.
Ostgardr has two more Peers than it did a month ago.  Lord Richard the Poor was recognized a member of the Order of the Pelican at Coronation, and Lady Igraine of Preston was likewise honored at Crown Tourney.  Baron Ian says she is no longer a Lady, she is Sir Jehan's Mistress.  Vivant!
The Viceroy and Vicereine encourage Order members to return their polls promptly, and everyone to write recommendation letters.  If you do write recommendation letters, write separately to HRH Lucan and HRH Elspeth, copied to the Viceroy and Vicereine, and please group your recommendations by award for TRH's convenience.
From the Pennsic Autocrat: please pre-register, or your camping group may lose acreage and your daughters will all marry Saxons.  The Australian version of "60 Minutes" will be there, taping the invasion of North America by Aussies in armor.  Should be wild.
Lord Ateno likewise urges people camping with Ostgardr to pre-register with him.  The fee is $10 now, $13 after early July, and $15 on site.
