Highlights from the July 19 Commons Most of the announcements were about Pennsic, or about other demos and events that have now passed, so we omit them. Other event announcements appear in the "Upcoming" section of this issue. Of what remains.... Lady Elenor gave profuse thanks to those who helped at Lion in the Daisies. The Provincial Exchequer admonished Canton Exchequers to file reports on time. The Minister of Lists is creating a computer database of Ostgardr fighters; please contact to be included. The Knight Marshall has authorized several new spear and sword-and-shield fighters recently. Whyt Whey held a pleasant, small demo for a Barnes & Noble branch, which "wants us back." Lion's End participated in an unpleasant, hot, poorly organized demo for a school of horsemanship; we don't want them back. Master Richard called attention to the movie "The Visitors", about a 12th-century knight transferred to modern France.
