Arts Exhibit at Twelfth Night: one entry/person, may have been displayed before, presentation counts. Please nominate people for awards: write to Timothy and Gabrielle, copied to Ian & Katherine, including modern and persona name (correctly spelled!), home group, specific achievements, etc; for Their Majesties' convenience, put separate awards on separate sheets. Chronicler: Cantons are invited to submit canton news & info to Seahorse (esp. Lions End, whose own newsletter is dormant). Watch out for chain letters, copyright violation, authors' permissions, etc. especially when copying material from the Internet. Herald: Submit devices & names. If you've already got them, use them. There will be a consulting table at Twelfth Night. Lions End: Jessica will run Lions in Winter; Gail will cook. $15 on-board. Seneschal: Everybody come to Twelfth Night, which has c. 300 on-board seats. To decorate the hall, bring banners early in the morning or give them to Suzanne in advance.. $18 on-board before 11/30, $20 thereafter. Brew U. is $23 for the weekend, with Ian cooking (he'll need help Saturday morning). Whyt Whey: We've been asked for a 1-hour, Weds. morning demo in February for grade-school children. Cai: Seahorse Ball will be $8 for the day, $5 for children, $5 for half a day, $20 maximum per family. Potluck dessert revel, with contests for sweet & savory. Suzanne: Twelfth Night will include a dessert soteltie contest, on the theme of Your Household Heraldry. December 19 Commons will be at Deborah and Steve's at 8:00 PM. Parking is limited, so please carpool or use public transit if you can. Our apartment is up two flights of stairs, not handicapped-accessible, and contains two (basically well-behaved) dogs. By LIRR: be in one of the first four cars and get off at Kew Gardens Station. Walk east up stairs or alley to Lefferts. Cross Lefferts at 5-way intersection and turn right, then first left and see * By subway (and 10-minute walk): take E or F train to Union Turnpike. Follow signs to Q-10 bus, and avoid signs containing the word "north", to fruit stand. Right through passageway, then left onto Kew Gardens Ave. Right at 4th light onto Lefferts. Go 2 blocks, bear left at 5-way intersection, take next left, and see * below. By bus : take the Q-10 to the intersection of Cuthbert and Lefferts. See * By car: van Wyck, Grand Central, etc. to Interboro Parkway. Exit onto Metropolitan eastbound. Left at 5th or 6th light onto Lefferts. Third right * onto Cuthbert Road, half a block to 84-19, on left, next to a parking sign.
